OUR CURRICULUM

Our school year is divided into themes which support cognitive, emotional, and physical development of children. All activities are presented to children through fun activities so that they are motivated to learn. Children work and learn by means of the different themes - visit the page: Program of the Year

Information on School Activities

Parents can get acquainted with their children’s activities through the parents’ section on the school web page www.bumblebee.cz. This part of the web page is internal and is protected by a password which is given to the parents upon request. There is also a monthly school newspaper “BB News” available.

Health and Hygiene

The teachers continuously enforce hygiene rules at school and guide the children to independence in the basic hygienic habits. Children are also taught how to behave responsibly toward their own health.

Swimming

Playing games in the water and swimming instructions are incorporated as an integral part of Bumble Bee’s curriculum. Children travel to swimming lessons by school bus every other week. Swimming lessons run from October to May. During the swimming lesson, children get to know the water environment and learn the basic techniques of swimming which are then further developed in elementary school.

Horse back riding and hipotherapy lessons

From October to May children attend weekly horseback riding sessions, where they take the basic steps of horseback riding and build a positive attitude toward animals while under supervision of experiences lecturers. Bubenečská site goes to the school farm of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague-Suchdol (www.czu.cz)
